Each year the Foothills Caledonia Youth Pipe Band has the pleasure of performing at the Campbell School of Dance’s Robbie Burn Ceilidh, and this year was no exception. Our band was proud to once again take part in this wonderful celebration of Scottish culture, music, and dance. Earlier in December the Foothills Caledonia Youth Pipe Band hosted a special Bring-a-Friend to Band Night, and it was a hit. Our practice space was filled with new faces, big sounds from the pipes and drums, and plenty of pizza to keep everyone fueled. After a well-deserved summer break, the Foothills Caledonia Youth Pipe Band reunited to take part in one final competition of the season - the Canmore Highland Games, held August 30 & 31 in beautiful Canmore, Alberta. The weekend brought sunshine, great music, and an amazing atmosphere in the heart of the Rockies.
